Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
 Export VAT Management: Manage end-to-end export VAT processes including oversight for refund claims, ensuring complete documentation, timely submission and compliance with Golden Tax System requirements to optimize cash flow and mitigate audit risks.
 Indirect Tax Compliance: Manage VAT lifecycle, including issuance, certification, input credit verification, VAT filings, and withholding tax calculations and filings for cross-border payments.
 Direct Tax Compliance: Support corporate income tax filings, annual tax reconciliation and related PRC tax reporting, ensuring alignment between tax returns, statutory records and general ledger balances.
 Tax Audit, Controls & Risk Management: Act as the primary point of contact for local tax authorities during inspections, support internal and external audits, maintain tax compliance calendars, retain audit-ready documentation and escalate tax risks in a timely manner.
 Business and Controllership Support: Provide tax inputs for tender/bidding activities, intercompany transactions, transfer pricing documentation, government statistical submissions, month-end tax accruals and tax account reconciliations.

Education & Experience:

 Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline is required.
 Minimum 10 years of relevant China tax compliance experience, preferably in a multinational manufacturing, engineering or distribution environment.
 Strong knowledge of PRC tax regulations, PRC Accounting Law, export VAT refund requirements and local filing practices.
 Familiarity with transfer pricing regulations, intercompany agreements and withholding tax requirements for cross-border transactions.
 Experience supporting month-end tax accruals, tax account reconciliations, statutory audits, internal audits and tax authority reviews.
 Fluent Mandarin and strong working proficiency in English are required. Prior experience working with major tax advisory firms such as KPMG, PwC, Deloitte or BDO is preferred.
